International Group



Read all about the program (below).  Candidates need to have come close to finishing the series "Overcoming Social Anxiety: Step by Step" so that we can spend most of the group time on behavioral activities.  Thomas A. Richards. psychologist, Matthew Whitley, behavioral therapist.   

Monday – Friday:

Time Activity
10:00 – 11:30 Comprehensive CBT with Dr. Richards
11:30 – 12:00 Lunch Break (at SAI)
12:00 – 2:30

Comprehensive CBT with Dr. Richards    At the end of the day's therapy, you will plan what activities and/or behavioral experiments you wish to do that night.  

2:30-3:00 Planning Session for the Evening's Behavioral Activities (Group members take turns being in charge of this)


Time Activity
12:00 – 2:30 Join with the Local CBT Group for Behavioral therapy


Day for you to do planned activities or behavioral experiments with other group members

Additional Information

The schedule may vary a little from day to day.  These are approximate times.  Please note that Saturdays are an important part of the therapy program.  For your benefit and the benefit of the group, you must be motivated to commit to the 6-day a week schedule for the 3-Week Program.  Evenings will be spent socially and behaviorally with your group members.  Time spent socially with your group members outside of SAI is also an important part of the program.   Developing a therapeutic friend or buddy that you feel comfortable with can make a big difference in learning to overcome social anxiety.
