International Group Costs
** We are no longer filing insurance, but you can take the official billing from SAI and file for insurance with your own company. Much more may be covered than what your company tells you, so it pays to read your policy carefully or seek additional help. We can supply you with appropriate billing, psychological coding, and doctor's signature.**
Program costs are all-inclusive, meaning all therapy, all meetings, and the daily activities are covered by the price. Please note that HOTEL, FOOD, transportation and other living costs are the responsibility of the participant and are NOT included in therapy group prices.
Registration Fee $475.00
The registration fee should accompany the completed application and is non-refundable.
The registration fee covers the pre-therapy work Dr. Richards provides before you come to Phoenix, plus the planning and logistics necessary to run the group. This includes reviewing your application, any needed phone communication, extensive pre-therapy email communication, and Social Anxiety Institute support services. This fee is refunded if your application is not accepted. If the group fails to make for any reason, your registration fee will be refunded. The fee is not refunded if you choose to withdraw.
Dr. Richards will arrange a time with you for a phone appointment before the group starts. This is covered by the registration fee.
The registration fee is a separate fee and is not part of the program costs.

Transportation/Food/Shopping/Entertainment

Note: Two cars are usually needed for a group of eight. Members will need to share costs on a car rented by someone in the group.
You should budget for your food, any shopping you want to do, and any entertainment you plan.
There are no extra charges for the cognitive-behavioral material or the supplemental material you receive at SAI.
Payment Methods
Insurance
We can no longer accept insurance, so we need you to pay for the session by one of the methods listed above.
If you do have insurance, you can file for it yourself. However, we cannot fill out any forms or lengthy reports. If you have questions about this, it is highly recommended that you check with your insurance company FIRST. Many insurance companies do their best to avoid coverage of any kind for mental health care. If you have mental health care coverage, you may need to be persistent and assertive with your insurance company.
Dr. Richards is a licensed psychologist with a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from an accredited institution (Arizona State University). Upon request, Dr. Richards will sign an approved form that you've filled out listing appropriate dates for services. Dr. Richards can add the diagnostic coding and sign the document to make it legal.
